All about Switch Radio
Got a question? It's probably answered here
The history
The station launched in April 2010 and broadcasts from Castle Vale, Birmingham to the north east of the city. The station began life under its previous name, Vale FM, when it was formed by residents from the Castle Vale estate in north east Birmingham in 1995.

The station provides a local radio service designed to entertain and inform the community, combining music with news, sport and information about events, good causes and local services. By the way, if you're organising a community event or want to raise awareness of your group or charity, send your details to [email protected] and we'll do our best to promote it.

What can you expect to hear?
107.5 Switch Radio plays a wide cross section of music, featuring some of the world's greatest artists from the last 5 decades, right through to the cream of the current music scene. We also broadcast a range of specialist rock, dance, soul and hip hop shows.

What else do we do?
We’re about much more than what simply goes out on air. We use radio as a vehicle to develop people, using media volunteering and training as a way to build skills and confidence. The station's programmes are presented by volunteers who are given full training and support to get them on air.
