New activity bar with bowling, ping pong and golf coming to Touchwood

An activity bar with crazy golf and bowling is set for Touchwood shopping centre in Solihull. Planning permission has been granted for a new Spinners venue that will serve up pizza and cocktails alongside a range of activities.

Spinners is set to take the plot inside Touchwood opposite Zara along the Upper Jubilee Walk. Developers said they chose the spot next to the dining terrace and Cineworld due to the surrounding venues’ focus on leisure.

The unit has been vacant since March 2019 and is currently in shell form with all the previous fixtures and fittings removed. Spinners’ new location would take up part of the walkway and seating area next door.

The original Spinners opened in Reading in 2021 and has other venues planned in Solihull, Plymouth, Northampton, and Colchester. The venue describes itself as an entertainment complex serving pizza and beer alongside mini-golf, 10-pin bowling, and darts.

Solihull Council approved the application on Tuesday, April 25.  An opening date has not yet been announced for Spinners in Solihull, but a notice on their website says their Touchwood venue is ‘coming soon’.
