Labour’s candidate says ‘every vote counts this election’

With the battle for Solihull West looking closer than ever, Labour’s candidate says ‘every vote’ for her will count in this election. 

Deirdre Fox is fighting to be elected in the Solihull West and Shirley constituency, which has changed its name from the former Solihull seat. 

It has been one of the safety seats in the country for the Conservatives but recent polling suggests it is now a “tossup” between the Tories and Labour. 

That has given hope to the Labour candidate who has worked for more than three decades in the steel industry. 

“I am committed to delivering change in Solihull West and Shirley,” the candidate said.

“After 14 years of Tory chaos, we deserve better.

“I have the skills and experience to speak up for residents in parliament about their serious concerns on the NHS, schooling, and a myriad of other broken parts of our public services. 

“I will work tirelessly to do that.”

Mrs Fox has lived in the Midlands with her husband Christopher for most of their adult lives and have two grown up children, now in their 20s.

The candidate added she is committed to change and offering a fresh start with “bold new ideas to help reinvigorate our area”.
