Littler now faces Rob Cross in the last four on Tuesday night - and is finally allowing himself to dream of winning the title.

Teen darts sensation Luke Littler has reached the semi-final of the world championship in London.

The 16-year-old, from Warrington, comfortably won his quarter-final against Brendan Dolan at Alexandra Palace.

He triumphed 5-1 after storming into a 4-0 lead.

Littler told Sky Sports he was delighted to reach the semis on his debut in the competition.

"I've earned it," he said.

"I've [thrown] another 100+ average and my doubles are on 47%, so it's gone well today as well."

He said he had a "good chance" of becoming world champion if he can "keep it up".

"Now I am dreaming! I'm two games away. I'm definitely thinking about lifting the title," he said.

Nicknamed "The Nuke", Littler previously told Sky News that he started playing darts at 18 months old.

His sensational performances have made him the youngest player to reach the last four of the world championship.

Littler has even received support from his idol, darts legend Phil 'The Power' Taylor, and will now face Rob Cross in his semi-final on Tuesday night.

"He was unbelievable on debut as well and so am I. I'm looking forward to playing Rob tomorrow night," said Littler.

"I didn't like waking up at nine in the morning, so tomorrow chill and come back in the evening."
