A MOBILE recycling centre will return to the Vale tomorrow in the ongoing fight against fly tipping.
The mobile household recycling centre (MHRC) will be based on Yatesbury Avenue near Kimble Drive, B35 6QS between 7am-12pm. Items can only be cleared if they are brought along at these specific times.
A segregated recycling truck will contain compartments for glass, paper, card and cans, both tin and aluminium. Household rubbish that cannot be recycled, clothes, garden waste and bric-a-brac and other unwanted bulky waste items can be brought along too.
The council have confirmed that they will be unable to take the following items: building materials (concrete/bricks), white goods such as fridges ad washing machines, larger items like patio or garage doors and hazardous materials such as asbestos and cooking/engine oil.
The rollouts of the HMRCs are part of the Birmingham City Council's £7.2m pilot project to achieve cleaner, greener streets which launched last year.
Please visit www.birmingham.gov.uk/hrc for details on other free HRC sites to dispose of extra items.
