Birmingham police have launched a murder investigation after two men were attacked at a property in Cadbury Drive, Castle Vale. One man died at the scene after suffering from stab wounds while the other was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The attack occurred in the afternoon of March 13, 2023.

According to reports, the offenders fled the scene in a car which was later tracked by police helicopter to Chatham Road in Northfield. Armed police stopped the vehicle and arrested two men and a woman on suspicion of murder.

The police have not released the identities of those involved but have stated that the investigation is in its early stages. They believe that the attack was targeted and have already sealed off the scene for forensic examination. House-to-house and CCTV enquiries have also been initiated.

Residents in the area have expressed their shock and disbelief over the incident, which has left the community shaken. Some have reported hearing loud noises and seeing police cars rushing to the scene.

West Midlands Police said, "We are still in the early stages of our investigation, but we believe this was a targeted attack. I urge anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area to contact us as soon as possible."

Anyone with information is urged to contact Birmingham police on 101, quoting reference number 1841 of 13/3. Alternatively, they can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
