The Mirror Crack'd by Agatha Christie, directed by Philip Franks in this new adaption by Rachel Wagstaff.

The production was gripping from the moment the curtains parted with a cast of sheer talent, enthusiasm and experience; Susie Blake (Miss Marple), Sophie Ward (Marina Gregg) and Joe McFadden (Jason Rudd).  All under the direction of Philip Franks, many of whom will remember him from 'The Darling Buds of May' (Charley) and 'Heartbeat' (Sgt Craddock).

The scene is set with Miss Marple confined to a chair in the village of St Mary Mead, England in the 1960s. This sensational production delighted theatregoers with the cast holding the audience in the palm of their hands, leaving them wanting more! The super sleuth Miss Marple uses her powers of deduction to unravel a murder; the poisoning of a local woman but a visiting movie star appears to have been the intended victim of this callous crime!

The performance does contain smoke, pyro and a gunshot which adds dramatic effects to the production in very appropriate parts! Spoiler - it really does make you jump and but smile!

Delivered in an engaging manner with humour added in throughout, but tastefully done and at fitting moments! Surrounded by an ingenious set, with emotive lighting adding to the effect.

A remarkable, extraordinary, exceptional and phenomenal performance are but a few words to describe this powerful performance!

Highly recommended and a must see performance - do not miss it!

A rating of 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️without hesitation.

Thank you again to The Alexander Theatre for delighting audiences with another outstanding production and a very warm welcome.
