Agatha Christie's, The Mousetrap, 70th Anniversary Tour is produced by Adam Spiegel and directed by Ian Talbot and Denise Silvey.
A murder has occurred in London and a small group of strangers become snowed in at a remote countryside guesthouse. Whilst stranded a police sergeant arrives and the guests discover... sorry no spoilers here!!
As quoted by the cast if you know anyone else who is coming to watch Mousetrap... 'You are now our partners in crime and must keep the identity locked in your heart.'
Having previously seen this production at The Alex, Birmingham last year I was cautious and a little apprehensive as whether it would be deliver and be of the same quality especially with a cast change of the character Mr Paravicini (John Altman / Kieran Brown).
The attention to detail is of a high standard both with the interior set design of Monkswell Manor and period costume all adding to, and creating an atmospheric performance.
Interspersed with humour the performance is brought to life by the jolly and witty character Christopher Wren played by the energetic Elliot Clay. Clay brings much amusement and hilarity to the performance accompanied by Todd Carty (Major Metcalf). A cast change is the character of Mr Paravicini played by Kieran Brown who gave the audience a memorable performance!
A cast of sheer quality; the best of British theatre! A joy to watch!
So who dunnit? I'm sorry you'll have to see for yourself as my lips are sealed and the 'identity is locked in my heart.'
If you love murder mystery then 'The Mousetrap' will not disappoint - it's a terrific, tremendous and triumphant performance!
I would rate this production a four out of five star rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A very warm received by all the staff at The Garrick - thank you!
